Each of our 5 cottages are fully furnished including microwave, stove, dishes, cutlery, fridge.  There are quilts on the bed but request that cottagers bring their own bedding.

We are pet friendly, however ask that cottagers take precautions to preserve the integrity of the furniture for the next person. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your stay and cashing your deposit.

All of the cottages come equipped with a 14 foot aluminum boat and 2 oars. Please ensure the boat is tied to the dock, if there are rough waters please tie the boat with the bow out or upside down on the beach. The boats can handle a 9.9hp motor that you would supply yourself as well as your own life jackets.

Wolfe Lake is home to many species of fish, perch, walleye/pickerel, small mouth & black bass, sun fish, northern pike to name a few. For more information please visit anglersatlas.com. Please do not clean fish in the cottages, there are cleaning tables located outside each of the cottages and dispose of remains in the pails provided. 

Yes you can drink the water from the taps in the cottages.

No, the cottages are not air conditioned. We encourage cottagers to bring fans to keep cool.

As this is a fresh water lake there are weeds, however close to shore there are minimal weeds.

Wolfe Lake at it's deepest point is around 100 feet deep. There are several shoals that are clearly marked for boaters.

The cottages are located in rural Ontario and do have wildlife in the bushes surrounding the cottages. Wildlife is diverse including black bear, white-tailed deer, eastern coyotes, fox, fishers, minks, weasels, raccoons, common loons, great blue herons, bald eagles, ospreys, king fishers just to name a few.

Each cottage comes with a fire pit, we request that all cottagers check to see if there is a fire ban prior to lighting up and never leave a fire unattended.

No. We request that all cottagers that stay at Bresee's Cottages refrain from using fireworks. The safety of our property and cottagers, including their animals, is our top priority.

Yes, the cottages are heated with electric baseboard heaters. Each cottage also has blankets to wrap up with on cooler nights.

Check-in is at 1pm on Saturday and check-out is 10am Saturday.
